RRS (The Real Reality Show)

RRS is one of Christeens’ missions.

Its main goal for each and every teenager is to add something to the functioning of one of the missions and to saving people. We reach this goal by announcing that there is a huge adventure field in our summer camp. Anyone who  collects sponsors can take part in it. The adventure field is free and teens get scores after each completed circle. Their sponsors pay a certain amount of money after every score as they had agreed on. After the summer camp teenagers gather the money which they have earned based on their scores and transfer it to Christeens’ account.

The total sum that is collected by the partakers of this event is forwarded to different missions each year. Missions of the Evangelical Pentecostal Fellowship (EPK) have got several millions of Hungarian Forints in this way. We have not only supported missions within EPK but also other missions helping Hungarian people in Transsylvania and Felvidék, Slovakia.

We think it’s important to make these teenagers open-minded to God’s work in their easy and playful ways. RRS is the most popular event in the camp every year. Not just beacuse of the fun but also because of the fact that they can add something to make Jesus Christ’s life-changing name known. This exactly is our intention.

RRS Rules

Attendance

Everybody takes part in the game at his/her own risk. Organizers can bowl out anybody not complying with the rules of the game.

Only those teenagers can attend who has got at least two sponsors who offer a minimum of 49 HUF per scores.

People are not allowed to be on the field, the RRS stage, the box-tower building or any other RRS events unless they are registered and have a plastic RRS card.

Evaluation

Scores can only be given by assigned RRS-team members and only with a proper appliance.

One attendant can only get 1 score per circle on the adventure field (except the last and a maximum of 30 mins when  1or 2 extra scores may be given by the team-leader.)

On the RRS stage every performance means 1 score. If the audience or the jury especially likes the show 1 extra point may be given. Obviously, in team performances  the team members get 1 score/extra score per capita. One teenager can act maximum five times in team productions, so he/she can collect a maximum of 6 points (if he/she gets extra points).

In the box-tower building 3 boxes put on each other enable for 1 score (it’s not necessary to climb up on them). During the RRS, the attendance is allowed maximum three times and those teenagers, who have not yet taken part in the box-tower building are preferred to start. On one occassion maximum 15 boxes can be built up on the top of each other (we don’t keep more boxes in the camp anyway). So one teenager can get maximum 5 scores for one attempt.

The adventure field is only completed if the teenager gets over every balk and he/she runs into the area marked with a red-white cordon.  The teenager gets his/her scores only in this case.

Consruction and field equipage

The field is about 500 metres long and includes a balk of straw bales; a cca. 20-25 metres long waterslide (you can „travel”on it with a tyre of a van); a cca. 25 metres long ropeslide; a 2 metres high climbing wall; a „spider” (netted field) to climb through, a few tyres to get through and a 2,5 x 2,5 m deep pool which is filled with solid, small item or powder materials ( e.g.: plastic bottles, sawdust) to step into. Apart from these there are some chases, bushes, humps and other landmarks and barriers naturally provided by the environment (The organizers maintain the right of changing the items)

Sponsors

Sponsor can be anybody who is willing to support the teenager who looks him/her up. The sponsor is in real earnest about his/her own offer, and if his/her protégé wins more scores than the sponsor has calculated before, he/she is willing to pay the amount until the deadline.

Organizers’ Duties

Transfering of the collected amount to the actual organization is performed in a public and official way. We can prove the money trasfer upon the sponsor’s requirement.
